Juliana was born in São Paulo in Brazil, but now resided in New York. She is of Brazilian and Italian descent. Like most competitors, her inspiration came from seeing Monica Brant (who is a bonafied legend in her own right) and begin participating in various shows, winning the 2005 IFBB Amateur BodyFitness Championships in her hometown in the process where she won her IFBB pro card.
She moved to the United States in 2007 and competed in the figure division. Her physique was jaw-dropping to say the least and won over many fans not only in America but around the world, as she was in high demand. Unfortunately her amazing physique was deemed too much for figure standards at the time, despite competing at the Figure International twice and being a overwhelming fan-favorite.

Her days of competition looked to be done as it seemed she would never achieved greatness. That is...until women's physique came along. Almost immediately, fans pointed to Juliana as THE face of the division despite not competing in it yet. She had the physique to be one of the top stars if not THE top star of the division. She would win the New York Pro Women's Physique Championships three times (2012-2014) and competed in the first-ever Women's Physique Olympia Showdown in 2013. She wowed the audience with an insane physique and beautiful routine, but she placed 7th, which many felt was unjustified, and we don't blame them. She would participated in the 2014 Olympia Women's Physique Showdown and end up defeating the defending champion Dana Linn Bailey by a small margin, and she has been unstoppable ever since, which also includes winning the inaugural Women's Physique International title in 2015.

To this day, no one has been able to put together the formula to defeat Juliana, and it wouldn't surprise us one bit if she were to retire from women's physique at the top. When it comes to the women's physique division, Juliana is the undisputed standard that greatness is judged by. If you want to call yourself the best, you have to beat Juliana, which is easier said than done. And while nothing is impossible, one better hope that Juliana competed on an off day, otherwise...you're fighting for 2nd place. And that's not an insult to any competitor, that's a testament to just how amazing Juliana is. At this point, the only reason she will lose another show is because SHE wants to. Simple as that.
